Race for the Cure & Pretend City

So this weekend, we had a busy Sunday racing through Fashion Island for the Race for the Cure, picking up Trevor from his T-ball game, and then exploring Pretend City in Irvine. My morning started at 5:30 am but it was all worth it.

Every year, we do the Susan G Koman Breast Cancer Race for the Cure with Ben's parents. The year Ben & I got married, his Bubba passed away with breast cancer so this run is very special to all of us. I only knew her for a few years, but she was such a wonderful woman. She was so positive and always had something good to say. She is always in our hearts.

After our morning run and a yummy lunch at
Knowlwoods, we headed over to Pretend City. I have to admit that I was really hesitant to go to Pretend City because it was going to cost me $30 to bring both of my boys to this kids museum. Now I have to admit that I now have a family membership. My boys had a great time exploring all the different learning areas they had. We only spent 2 1/2 hours there and my boys could have played there all day. I think my favorite part of the museum was watching Tyler & Ben sing there heart out on the stage. We will definitely be visiting Pretend City a lot this year. (It helps that its less than 10 minutes from our house.)

I had to add these videos of Ben & Tyler rocking out and Trevor & Tyler being firemen.
