Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party
Since this was our 1st year at the Mickey Trick-or-Treat Party, my son did not know what was so special with today. We have an annual pass and go all the time so he just wanted to go on all the fun rides. So I had to explain that we get to trick-or-treat around California Adventures.
We started our party by getting our treat bags & map. We followed all the other guests and found our 1st treat near the Monster Inc ride. I appreciated how Disney had a healthier option, like apples and carrots. I allowed my son to get all the candy and I choose the healthy snack. By the end of the night, we ended up with a full bag of our treats and going on a bunch of fun rides and watching the Trick-or-Treat parade. It was a great night!

Halloween Blog or Treat Gift Swap

After starting my blog I decided to try a blogger gift swap. I joined the Halloween Blog or Treat hosted by Shannon at The Mommy-Files and I had a lot of fun shopping for my swap partner Donna at Mississippi Mama . I hope she likes what I put together for her. And thank you Shannon for hosting a fun fall event!
So today the kids and I were just hanging out when someone rang our doorbell. Low and behold it was a package for me from Michelle at Flying Giggles and Lollipops. The kids were excited to open the package up with me. They had no clue what it was for but they love opening packages. And look what she gave us. Her daughter even helped to pick the books for me boys. Thank you! I love it all!
For the kids......
For me....

Disneyland Resort with My Big Kid
We started off at California Adventures. First I have to tell you about a secret way we go to avoid the lines. We go through the Grand California Hotel. As long as you have your ticket or pass, you can just quickly go through and end up next to the Grand Rapids ride. Its great! There's no long line to check your bags or long line to get in. Its just a quick check of the bag and you are basically in. Anyways, we went on the Grand Rapids Ride & Mulholland Madness. I am still unsure how he felt about both rides, but it was fun to try them out. It was the first time for me too now thinking about it.
Now on our way to Disneyland. That's the great thing about having an annual pass. You can go to the park for a couple of hours and not feel guilty for spending all this money for one day. Before even getting in the park, Halloween decorations are everywhere. I love it! Disney does such a great job decorating for the holidays. Since I always take pictures at the park Trevor & I pose in front of the Big Mickey Pumpkin at Main Street. Aren't we cute?

At Disneyland, we did most of our usual rides/attractions: Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters (Trevor calls it the Space Rangers ride), Small World, Tarzan's Treehouse, Innoventions, and the Jungle Cruise. Something we got to do that Trevor really enjoyed was ride the horse-drawn street car up to Sleeping Beauty's Castle. (We never get to ride the transportation up Main Street since I always have a stroller. But not today! We were stroller-less. And I love it!) Another attraction we saw was the Enchanted Tiki Room. Trevor loved this one too. We were dancing in our chairs while the birds sang. In the tiki-tiki-tiki-tiki-tiki room.....
It was such a great day!

We Love Fire Trucks!

The boys in the Search & Rescue Helicopter

Riding the Newport Beach Lifeguard's Wave Runner or Sea-Doo (not sure what this is called).
The boys participated in a practice of what to do when your house in on fire. They were all in bed, then dropped to the floor when they heard the alarm. They all felt the door to see if it was hot and then climbed out the ladder (that you should have if you sleep on the 2nd story of your house.) And then meet at a meeting spot with your family. (We really should practice with the boys, but they are both still so young.)

This next thing was the coolest thing we saw. They had a real fire they simulated and they put it out in front of us. Everyone was excited to see this. And the fire was really hot!
